This drum reflects the military heritage of the Victorian era (1837–1901), inspired by the brass-shell rope tension side drums carried by British Army regiments, Volunteer Battalions, Militia, Cadet Corps, and colonial forces during the late nineteenth century.

Featuring a polished brass shell with traditionally painted wooden hoops, it reproduces the appearance and character of the military drums used for drill, parade, ceremonial duties, and field music.

Its construction meets the standards of a true professional instrument, built for performance rather than display, making it an excellent choice for professional musicians, historical reenactment groups and living history organisations.

Note: This drum can be supplied with a custom regimental emblem. If you would like your drum to represent a specific regiment, please send us a clear picture or reference image of your respective regimental emblem after placing your order.
