Why consider Hakam Din?
Indian Cocobolo Drones
Crafted from seasoned Indian Cocobolo, our drones provide the warmth and rich harmonic depth that only natural wood can produce. The wood was selected for it's ability to handle moisture, it's musical resonance, stability and low-maintenance.
High-Performance Poly Chanter
Crafter from a non-hygroscopic, high-density polymer, our chanter is designed to remain completely stable in all weather conditions and is tuned to the standard Band Pitch of 480Hz–482Hz. This chanter is low-maintenance, durable, and compatible with a wide range of popular commercial reeds.
Our 1910 Heritage Bores
Our latest models utilize our original 116-year-old internal bore specifications, restored from our historical archives. This "Heritage Bore" provides the powerful projection and steady drone resonance that Hakam Din was founded on. We combine vintage tonal profiles with modern precision machining for the best of both worlds.
Rigorous Quality Control
I, Hakam Din Jr, personally ensure that no defects leave our workshop. Every set of Hakam Din pipes is individually assembled and tested for airtightness, tone and pitch before being shipped. We offer dedicated support and priority production for institutional orders of 10 or more sets.
Mid-Range Pricing
We occupy a middle ground offering a high-value alternative for those who don't want "entry-level" souvenirs but aren't ready for a big investment yet. Our pricing reflects the true cost of quality materials and skilled labor, ensuring you receive an instrument that performs exactly as advertised. Instead of Ultra high-end material, we focus on the technical essentials that matter to a piper: tone, stability, and durability.
Direct Maker Support
Choosing Hakam Din means a direct partnership with our workshop. We provide Pipe Majors and instructors with replacements and maintenance support. We are committed to the long-term success of your band, ensuring you have a reliable point of contact for the life of your instruments.
