Reproduction of a Vintage Bagpipe from the 1930s - 1940s Era

This bagpipe is a reproduction of a set Hakam Din made by around the 1930s - 1940s and is now part of our Vintage Reproduction series.

Made of Indian Cocobolo wood (Dalbergia sisso), these pipes offer a warm tone, are low maintenance and are artificially shaded black with nickel ferrules and cocus wood mounts

This model was rediscovered in an old storage room of the Hakam Din workshop, where it had rested untouched for decades. The set, covered in dust but beautifully preserved, reflected the craftsmanship and design language of our early 20th-century instruments, intrigued by it, we carefully recreated a faithful revival of one of our workshop’s long-lost designs.

The drones and chanter are tuned to A at 466.16 Hz (Concert B♭), faithfully replicating the tuning standard that was common during the era these pipes were originally designed.

The airbag incorporated in this set features a durable synthetic material with convenient medium dimensions measuring 28 inches in length and 12 inches in height.

This set also includes a pipe chanter reed, an black pipe bag cover and matching cord along with a beginner's guide book, all conveniently packaged in a carrying bag.

Please note that it comes with a set of a basic and affordable drone reeds, but for a perfect and hassle-free experience, we recommend purchasing Ezeedrone reeds separately from Scottish renowned drone reed makers, Pipe Dreams. (More info provided on that after purchase)
