Soprano Chalumeau in F - 2-Key - 415 or 440 Hz

This soprano chalumeau in F was designed after the historical two-keyed chalumeau by Thomas and Mathias Stubenwoll (Vienna, c. 1730, preserved in the Bayerisches Nationalmuseum).

This chalumeau has a modern Eb clarinet mouthpiece (and reeds), which allows it to remain stable regardless of climatic conditions (temperature and humidity).

It is perfectly suited to the Baroque repertoire, with a fundamental chromatic range extending from F4 to Bb5, and from B5 to E6 thanks to the overblow (the note B5 is obtained with less pressure on the reed).

• Crafted from Indian Cocobolo wood.
• Keys are made of brass, with steel springs and leather pads.
• It comes with a standard mouthpiece, a regular reed, and a wooden ligature. For optimal performance, we recommend the Vandoren M30 or BD5 mouthpiece paired with a Vandoren Classic strength 2 reed and a leather or cloth ligature.
