Bass, Baritone and Tenor Drones for Uilleann Pipes

Upgrade your Practice Set to a Half Set or Replace the drones from a set you already own. Below are the tenon sizes (fit size) for the drones.

Bass: 16mm (5/8'')
Baritone: 12.7mm (1/2")
Tenor: 9.5mm (3/8'')

Note: If you're looking to install these drones into another maker's practice or half set, please do make sure to leave the size of the bore on the main stock for the specific drone and we will be sure to alter the sizes if necessary, to suit your set. We will be in contact with you to ensure that the drones perfectly suit the set you own.

Each Drone can be bought separately in Indian Cocobolo Wood (Dalbergia Sissoo) Either in it's Natural Shade or Black Shaded. We also have an option for Nickle or Gold Plated Metalwork.

The Drones play D across 3 Octaves, the tenor drone matches the low D on the chanter while the baritone plays an octave below the tenor and the bass plays 2 octaves below.

Note: We do NOT include drone reeds, compatible drone reeds can be easily purchased from Pipe Dreams Reeds. The drones have been tested on these specific drone reeds and they pair perfectly.
