This transverse 18th-century flute is perfect for students who want to buy an affordable wooden flute with minimal maintenance and care with perfect sound.

Pitched in A=440 Hz and is perfect to play in ensembles with other modern instruments. It has a vast range; the lowest note is D (one note above middle C) and the highest note is A (2.5 octaves high).

It has 6 finger holes and one pinky finger D# key with a round-Early embouchure hole with a total length of 59.5 cm.

It is made of Ironwood (Olea ferruginea) which is friendly, hard but light-weight wood. Easy to maintain and does not require the care of more expensive Grenadilla wood. The wood is protected by imitation Ivory rings to provide a classic touch which replicates the timeless elegance of genuine Ivory.

It comes with a velvet-lined wooden case, cleaning cloth, extra pad for key and a fingering chart.

This model is a reproduction of an original 18th-century transverse August Grenser flute housed in the Germanisches Nationalmuseum in Nuremberg.
