Crafted following the 18th and early 19th-century construction method. Hand-carved key-blocks directly from wood body, this instrument is modeled after the powerful 19th-century designs of Robert Sidney Pratten, celebrated for their rich tone and excellent projection.
Keys include: Thumb Bb - long C - pinky G# - long F - short F - pinky D# - C# and C. A screw adjuster is installed for the C# and C keys to ensure accurate balance between them. Keys are casted from brass in original finish, fitted with steel springs and leather pads.
Crafted from Cocobolo wood and tuned to modern concert pitch, it delivers the powerful, reedy tone prized in traditional Irish and folk music, offering a rich and soulful playing experience.
Finely crafted olive wood rings lend a sense of sophistication and timeless class. A tuning slide headjoint and a screw adjustable stopper offer precise control for accurate pitch adjustment and refined tuning.
Its open-hole design with a C foot joint offers excellent balance, responsive control, and effortless ornamentation, as favored by traditional Irish flute players.
Each flute comes with a fingering chart, care instructions, extra set of key pads, and a plush-lined wooden case for safe storage and transport.
