The clarinet is nicely finished just like the photos. I was easily able to play a scale right away. The mouthpiece and reed were not very good for my liking but it plays great with my mouthpiece and reed from my modern clarinet. It will take a lot of practice to become proficient but I am very pleased with this instrument.
