Basset Clarinet in A - Classical

This basset clarinet in A was the instrument Mozart originally had in mind when Mozart wrote the famous Concerto for Clarinet and Orchestra, K622 (1791). 

We have designed this basset clarinet based on a sketch from Anton Stadler's concert program in Riga, dated 1794. Drawing inspiration from the craftsmanship of Theodor Lotz (1746–1792), the renowned Viennese maker, who collaborated with Stadler, Mozart's virtuoso clarinetist, to create this exceptional instrument.

• Crafted from Indian Cocobolo wood
• Wood with imitation Ivory protection rings
• The keys are casted from brass, steel springs with leather pads.
• Equipped with two barrels.
• Comes with a 'bulbous' bell, also compatible with a standard straight bell
  
• It is Designed for use with a standard Bb clarinet mouthpiece, with a barrel receiver tailored for modern Bb mouthpieces, including Vandoren B45
• Additionally, accessories such as a plush lined protective case, extra set of pads, cleaning cloth, and a carrying strap are provided.
